237 aug 25 grape tomato

August 25 – My best performing plant this season has been this grape tomato.  It came to me as an 8″ tall starter in a styrofoam cup.  It currently stands around 5 feet tall and has produced 3 pints of grape tomatoes.  I have even eaten them straight from the bush.  Now, for most gardeners, this is a given.  For me, though, I have fought through years of tomato prejudice (they remain larval in my mind, due to the goo inside, but I discovered that when the goo is gone, what remains is lovely) and now enjoy them.  The grape tomato is one of my very favorites.
