May 24 – I made bagels.  I will not buy supermarket bagels (the bagged ones) ever again.  It’s too easy to whip up a dozen bagels in our preferred flavors (David likes cinnamon raisin and I like either jalapeno cheddar or sun-dried tomato basil) and too cheap.  It doesn’t even take that long.  They freeze well, too.  David is very pleased.

Oh, and there are changes Chez Us.  David is taking the summer off to be a gentleman farmer.  There are too many projects in his fire that he never has time for, so since we could afford to do so, he is staying home to do them.  It has been a week now, and it’s wonderful having him around.  He is worth making bagels for.
