At the Traverse library they had books wrapped up with brief synopses on them and a sign challenging folks to have a blind date with a book.   I chose this one.   I still haven’t opened it yet.  It’s like a gift awaiting me.   They recently updated to an RFID system so the book could still be checked out even wrapped.

I have the sweetest man.   He sent me flowers today since he is gone.

It’s very tropical but with a traditional twist with the two red roses.

I love how it smells.   The other ladies at work keep teasing me about my smile.

Tucker had an itch he couldn’t quite reach so I put my hand against his
paw to give him more leverage.   He used it!   There was quite a bit of flopping and snuffling going on but he finally scratched that itch.

Also, snow storm fail.  The warned of 8-10 inches is maybe 2.  I was sorta hoping for a snow day.

Tucker comes tearing across the hill.

Then as he’s leaving the picture you can just see Sadie on the far right.

I really like this picture of Sadie running.  The late afternoon sun was certainly welcome.

I saw the pattern for this bear cowl (The Burton Bear Cowl on Ravelry) and had to have it.   The yarn was recycled from a vest I had bought at Goodwill.   It’s a fairly quick knit as the yarn is thick.  It’s a quick to pull on bit of warmth while we’re still in the depths of winter.

Two posts in one day!  I suppose I just needed to make that decision about what to do.

Sadie and Tucker doing their vicious play dominance thing.   No dogs are harmed during this as a rule.  Sometimes someone can slip up with a tooth but generally it’s just for show,  like wolves.  Them he’ll run off with her in pursuit.   Maybe a few years ago she would’ve been able to catch him but she’s got some arthritis now in shoulders and hips.   I do notice that the more she does this chasing about the yard (they’ll typically go for five minutes or so), the lower pain levels are.   The running is good for her, apparently.

Meanwhile, Phoebe just waits and ambushes whichever one she can.

Well, I guess it’s pretty obvious that I’m rather done with the Project 365/52 format. Two and a half years wasn’t a bad run. 🙂 I do miss my blog, however, so I believe that I will just post when I have cool pictures. Which happens a lot, so it will be almost like old times.

I got this one just before Christmas. The geese hadn’t yet figured out the barn and its protection. Now when there’s snow (which is *always*) they stay inside. If it warms up to 30 degrees or so they will venture out. Last week, after a nasty cold snap, they emerged looking rather scruffy but a few days of rain cleaned them up. I know they are looking forward to a good bath. Now all they get is a bucket. They require enough water to dunk their heads in so they can clean their nostrils. If it had been a couple days since I brought them a bucket they are very vocal in their displeasure. Since this is my first post from my new phone (Yay WordPress app!) I’ll post it so I can see what the picture looks like. In the preview it looks very small.
