Tucker had a vet appointment today to go over his meds and get a shot. Before we drove the 45 minutes to Astoria, I took him to the park for a run. He had some energy to burn off.

He ran all over the place.  The tide was midway between low and high, so the sand was rather loose and damp. Made for some extra work for both of us.  The gulls he delights in chasing appear to be gone for the winter.  That doesn’t stop him from running out to the point where they hung out in nicer weather.  When he doesn’t find any gulls, he runs back to me.  Then he remembers they were sometimes in the water, so he races back to the point and runs out in the water. Finding no gulls again, he runs back to me, then past me and on up the beach. It’s a very easy way to get him a very good run in.

He is always very nervous at the vet.  Lots of panting and pacing. He greets everyone with kisses, but he is nervous. He’s always very happy to get back in the car. He slept all the way home.
